Outrank Reviews: Videos for Link Building

You may be familiar with the YouTube Creator Institute, which was designed to give video content creators the tools they need to succeed. Check out an earlier post on the topic here. The program exists to help vloggers call attention to their causes, their businesses, as well as further their careers and generate income doing what they love.

The YouTube Partner Program says:

You’ve got great videos and a growing audience. Let YouTube help you take your channel to the next level through our Partner Program. Generate revenue from your videos and access YouTube’s specialized partner features and tools, including rentals, content management, and analytics.

In addition to having a place to spotlight your work, we know that videos help with link-building, an important component to SEO. So if having videos makes sense for your business, it’s a good idea to add that to your marketing strategy. You’ve heard of viral videos? How creative can YOU get? Your video could end up going viral! It’s not something that everyone can pull off and viral videos usually apply to a more general audience rather than a niche market you may be targeting but the possibility exists. You don’t have to join the Partner Program but you can post videos to your website and share them with relevant online communities where people discuss their experiences and needs for your type of product or service. Just make sure your video is informative and useful to your audience – it can address a specific topic or issue or simply introduce your business as a solution to a certain need. Here are some topics for video content to get you brainstorming and help you figure out what might apply to your business: instructional videos, advertisements, “a day in the life” look into what you do in your business and/ or success stories/testimonials. What else might work for you? We’d love to hear your personal experiences.

This video might help you with a brainstorming session! It serves as an informative guide to our service as well as a tutorial on search engine marketing. Click here!

Outrank Reviews: What Google’s +1 Means for Customers

source: www.searchengineland.com

I was pretty excited to hear about Google’s +1 business rating feature that I covered in another blog post at the beginning of April. Google still hasn’t rolled it out for use yet but at the I/O developer conference in San Francisco yesterday, presenter Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Land showed screen shots displaying how publishers will be able to incorporate the button to sites. He also touched on how +1 is directly integrated into Google Analytics.

At Outrank we encourage our customers to talk to their customers and clients about rating and reviewing services rendered because it helps improve search results and page rank. The Google +1 button will be another opportunity for us to share current industry news with our customers and help them round out their marketing plan — utilizing all aspects of good internet marketing.

There’s Local Search, Social Media, and Website Optimization. We say the best place to start is with your website — your home base. Think of your marketing strategy as a baseball field. You make lots of plays (social, local, promotions, banner ads, etc.) but you want to send everything you do across home plate. And, after you create an optimized website, it starts with Local Search.

Outrank.com Recommends David Mihm’s Local Search Glossary

Last week, Outrank.com heard about SEO guru David Mihm’s new Local Search Glossary. Mihm says that this glossary, a collection of about 100 terms used frequently in Local Search and compiled from reader contributions, will “give business owners without any technical knowledge a decent sense of what each word or acronym means.”

This SEO glossary is an incredibly helpful resource for expanding your SEO proficiency, whether you’re a first-timer or just need a refresher course. Our customers at Outrank.com often have questions about the terminology we use, and this is a great tool to help answer some of them. From Adwords to XML, the glossary is full of essential SEO knowledge.

A big thanks from Outrank.com to David Mihm and all the contributors that put together this fantastic resource.

Local Businesses Receive Over 1 Billion Google Searches Per Month – Outrank.com

Our expert search engine optimization team at Outrank.com is very excited about the recent news that Google has over 6 billion searches every month. Of those, Google estimates that 20% are locally-oriented, meaning small, local businesses have a tremendous opportunity to reach out to customers looking in their area.

When there are millions of unique users searching for local services online, savvy business owners can’t stand idly by while the competition takes over the Internet space. Google still has 65%+ of the search market, so it’s just as important as ever to capitalize on the exposure Google provides.

Outrank.com works hard to put you in the best position possible to reach out to these potential customers. We focus not only on organic results (which are also important), but we also make sure your local business listing on Google Places is highly optimized to help connect you with interested searchers.

Outrank.com Sees Google Local Business Center Become Google Places

Last week, our team at Outrank.com found that Google revamped its Local Business Center and renamed it Google Places.  This change reflects the connection between local businesses and the Places pages that users are directed to upon clicking for more info on a business marker on Google Maps.  Google Places allows us to add and optimize information about your goods and services so that local consumers can find you.

outrank.com

Here at Outrank, we are really excited about this change. We’re committed to getting you ranked on the front page of one of the search engines in 60 days or less, and Google Places is an excellent opportunity to create trust with your potential customers and reach out to them.  While organic rankings are still incredibly valuable, local Maps results allow users to connect on a personal level with your business.  If you have reviews, coupons, or any additional information that users might be interested in, this can all be linked to and viewed on your Google Places page.

To learn more about how Google Places can help your business, call your account manager today.
